The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has provided crucial information regarding the location of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). According to JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, all candidates will be required to sit for their main UTME within the state where they registered.
This assurance comes after some candidates who participated in the mock UTME experienced taking the test in a different state due to temporary limitations in the number of available Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres. Dr. Benjamin clarified that this was a specific arrangement for the mock exercise only and will not apply to the main UTME, which begins on April 25, 2025. JAMB has confirmed that there will be sufficient operational CBT centres across all states to accommodate all registered candidates within their state of registration.
For candidates seeking a test centre closer to their residence, early registration is advised. While JAMB will attempt to place candidates at convenient locations, those who register later may be assigned to any available centre within their registered state. Over two million candidates are set to take the 2025 UTME, and JAMB is actively working to ensure a secure and fair examination process. Mock UTME results have largely been released, with the remaining results being processed.
