In a somber announcement, Chief Yemi Sanusi, the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, has declared the untimely passing of the party's Publicity Secretary, Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye. The announcement came as a shock to party members and supporters alike, as Oladunjoye was known for his unwavering dedication and commitment to the party's ideals and objectives.
Reflecting on their journey together since 2018, Sanusi recounted how their paths first crossed when they were appointed to the Caretaker Committee for Ogun APC, alongside Mr. Ayo Olubori. He described Oladunjoye as an irredentist and pragmatic leader, always willing to go above and beyond to achieve the party's goals. “His loyalty to the party was unmatched, and he was always ready to defend its image,” Sanusi stated, emphasizing Oladunjoye's role as the party's image maker who would not tolerate any blemish on its reputation.
Throughout his tenure, Oladunjoye was known for his fierce advocacy and commitment to the causes he believed in. Sanusi noted, “He fought valiantly for our party, but sadly, he could not overcome the ultimate battle against death.” His passing is felt deeply across the party, as many recognize the immense contributions he made during his time.
The Chairman extended condolences to Oladunjoye's family, recognizing their loss and the void left in the party. “His death is a great loss to the APC, his family, and Ogun State at large,” he lamented. Sanusi prayed for the repose of Oladunjoye's soul, asking Almighty Allah to grant him Aljanah Fridaus and to bless and strengthen the family he left behind. He also called for divine protection over party leadership and supporters from untimely death.
