Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has raised alarm over the escalating wave of kidnappings across Nigeria, calling on President Bola Tinubu to act without delay.
In a strongly worded statement from Osogbo on Sunday, Oyintiloye described the recent trend of abductions as deeply troubling and potentially destabilizing if not urgently addressed.
“The progress made in national security is under serious threat. These kidnappings are not isolated—they’re a growing crisis,” he warned.
Oyintiloye urged the President to direct security agencies to intensify operations, improve intelligence gathering, and ensure closer cooperation across departments.
He dismissed any notion that the criminals are beyond reach, saying, “These are human beings, not ghosts. With proper coordination, they can be caught and made to face the law.”
Stressing that security is everyone’s duty, he called on Nigerians to be proactive by sharing credible tips with authorities. He also insisted that prompt and firm punishment of offenders is critical to deterring future crimes.
The APC chieftain expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership but emphasized that swift action is needed to reassure Nigerians and protect the nation from further chaos.
