“Akpabio, Bello Orchestrated My Recall With Fake Constituents” – Natasha Drops Bombshell

AKPOTI-NATASHA

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has vehemently denied the validity of the recall process against her, claiming that Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello initiated the recall using fake constituents.

Speaking in a statement on Wednesday, the PDP senator accused Bello of masterminding the recall attempt and challenged him to reveal where the names of the alleged fake constituents came from.

She pointed out that all available evidence suggests that the former governor was behind the move to recall her.

Akpoti-Uduaghan also recalled how, during the 2023 general elections, she faced multiple attacks allegedly orchestrated by Bello, which she described as part of his ongoing political vendetta against her.

She emphasized that the recall attempt is just another manifestation of his efforts to undermine her position.

In a defiant response, the senator stated, “I will advise the former governor to focus on clearing his name over allegations of fraudulent diversion of N89.2 billion, instead of attempting to destabilize the mandate given to me by the people of Kogi Central.” She added that Bello’s hands are full with corruption allegations, and that he continues to frustrate the will of the people despite these issues.

Referring to the recent events in her constituency, where she was welcomed by enthusiastic supporters despite government restrictions on rallies and processions, Akpoti-Uduaghan declared, “It is now very clear to the whole world how popular I am in my constituency.” She continued by saying her supporters had rejected government intimidation and shown their continued faith in her leadership.

The senator thanked her supporters for their overwhelming show of love and emphasized her commitment to serving them to the best of her abilities. “I will not betray them.

I will continue to give my best, and they should be rest-assured of our best representation all the time,” she concluded.

Akpoti-Uduaghan’s statement reflects her determination to resist the recall attempt and reinforces her support base in Kogi Central, despite the political challenges she faces from powerful figures in the state.
