
Chief Solomon Arenyeka, the Delta State Chairman of the PDP has vowed to reclaim the Delta central Federal Constituency seats in 2027, he said this at the inauguration of Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency Forum held in Ughelli, on over the weekend.
The Chairman congratulated the people of Ughelli/Udu Federal Constituency on their unity as they are set to reclaim their seats from the APC in 2027.
Arenyeka said that Governor Oborevwori had performed creditably well in the development of the state, he added that the people of Delta South and all other parts of the state will unanimously re-elect him for a well deserved second term in 2027.
In his address, The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme said that zoning of political offices, particularly the Office of the Governor has been a norm in the state.
He added that as the 2027 elections approaches, zoning remained a vital factor in Delta’s political stability and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s continued dominance in the state.
Onyeme highlighted that the zoning system upheld by the PDP ensures it’s continued dominance and balancing the equitable distribution of political officers in the state:
“Delta is a very peaceful state and since 1999, we were the first to embrace governorship rotation and it has been working very well for us.
“All previous Governors did eight years and this time around, it will not be different because Governor Oborevwori ‘dey work and Deltans dey see am.”He stated.
In his remarks, The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Emomotimi Guwor said: “what we have done today is to show that the Federal Constituency stands united to return Governor Oborevwori to Government House in 2027.
“We are all united and I can assure you that the PDP will win the entire eight local government areas in Delta Central. Governor Oborevwori would win again with the massive support of Deltans.”
