President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is hosting Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama, on a courtesy visit at his official residence in the State House, Abuja.
Mahama, who arrived at the Presidential residence around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, is meeting with his Nigerian counterpart for the first time since his inauguration on January 7, 2025.
The ongoing meeting is expected to focus on strengthening diplomatic ties between Nigeria and Ghana, as well as addressing key regional issues within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Both leaders are set to explore areas of mutual cooperation, particularly in trade, security, and economic development.
Mahama had previously visited President Tinubu at the State House on December 17, 2024, shortly after his election victory on December 7. At the time, Tinubu expressed optimism that Mahama’s return to leadership would enhance regional stability within ECOWAS.
