Amebo Newspaper recently had a chat with Oku a man who is passionate about Nigerian Football making progress. He spoke about way forward for Super Falcons in 2025 and more.
King David Oku is the President and founder of the Monday and David Foundation an NGO in Nigeria committed to helping people. He is a passionate Journalist , who is driving advocacy and awareness campaigns to address societal issues among young people.
I am passionate about Football development and administration, and I believe our Federation can enhance youth Football by utilizing the impactful programs.
The Super Falcons performed reasonably well in 2024, except for a below-par outing at the Olympic Games in Paris.
That tournament highlighted some issues, as several players seemed worn out and may need to take on smaller roles in the future.
I am encouraged by the Federation's response to inject fresh, young talent into the team and to assign prominent roles to others who can make an impact.
I understand that more friendly matches will take place this year to prepare the team for WAFCON in Morocco, which is commendable.
Like the Eagles, the Falcons also need prompt attention regarding their welfare and other matters. Our women's team deserves the very best.
