Soname, GTI deserves Five Star Sports Award — Vincent Akinbami

Vincent Akinbami, Sports Administrator,A Chartered Accountant, Former SSA on Sports to former  Osun State Governor Alhaji  Oyetola, Former Osun United FC Vice Chairman recently had a chat with Amebo Newspaper,he revealed that Newstap Five Star Sports Award award list, I will only agree with the choice of Hon Kunle Soname, GTI as those who should be among top 5 that deserves an award in Nigeria.

Akinbami told our reporter that a governor can only be said to deserve an award ,if he put up a system for Sports development in his state and not just dolling out money without visible effect in terms of development .

The former SSA on Sports to former Osun State Governor added that Barrister Ede as been a good Sports Administrator , I might be wrong, may be there are things he has done I don't know about, I have my reservation.

Vincent explained that  the Monimichelle group CEO,  he is into business and getting paid for doing a good job, his skills is highly appreciated ,building it for free for some communities would have made him a top notch for such award for me.

Honour should  be  for those who have made a positive difference in the industry by sacrificing their time, money, dreams for the growth of the sport sector in Nigeria. Those listed are contributing one way or the other, but when it comes to limited numbers of awardees, the screening should be properly done.

The likes of Eng Nimrod, a man in the volleyball world in Nigeria who as sacrificed so much for it growth , deserves a place .

Recognition can be subjective and varies based on context, but generally, several types of people often deserve more.
