I AM WORRIED ON WHERE HISTORY WOULD PLACE ME AS A POLITICIAN FROM ILE IFE — Rotimi Makinde

As politicians of Ife origin, we have a responsibility to shape our own narrative and leave a lasting legacy that reflects our values and contributions.We are known to be the source but not the shinning source. Things are not fairing well, our roads are so bad,our markets not in good shape ,our museum still on a half a plot of land."Eveything Jagajaga" I am worried!.

Historians will judge us not only by our achievements but also by our character, integrity, and commitment to the well-being of our people..Things are not rosy and all these saddens me.I feel helpless.Yet I am one of them, i am a politician !. 

We must strive to be remembered as leaders who prioritised the greater good, promoted unity, and worked tirelessly to improve the lives of our constituents.Yet no unity but individual  pursuits .

Let us work together to create a brighter future for Ife and its people, one that is built on a foundation of honesty, transparency, and accountability.

We owe it to ourselves, our children, and future generations to leave a lasting legacy that makes us proud to be from Ife...Not about envies but we should be worried about the space of development and progress in our neighborhoods.Each of them raised something meaningful at interval on their community days.They are succeeding and ahead of us only by their sons and daughters who are fairing well.

As politicians, we have the power to shape history. Let us use this power wisely and make a positive impact that will be remembered for generations to come...
