Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin has joined eminent personalities to sympathise with Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State over the death of his eldest brother, Sunday Makinde.
The eldest brother of the governor died on Friday, at the age of 65.
The Olubadan, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Solomon Olugbemiga Ayoade.
described the death of the deceased as sad and unfortunate,
The traditional ruler made these assertions via a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Solomon Olugbemiga Ayoade.
The statement was made available to newsmen on Sunday in Ibadan, the state capital.
Olakulehin while speaking, described the deceased as a humble and accomplished individual.
The traditional ruler while speaking further, maintained that the deceased has contributed positively to the development of Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria in general.
He said that God will give the governor and other members of the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“I therefore express my condolences to the Governor, urging him to take heart. It is always painful to loose a loved one but who are we to question God has done?
“It is my prayer that the gentle soul of the deceased will rest in perfect peace and God will grant the entire Makinde family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”.
