Bayelsa State Football Association Sponsors Four Coaches to NIS

The Bayelsa State Football Association has sent four promising grassroots coaches to the  National Institute of Sports (NIS) Lagos for coaching courses in National Diploma.

The state football  body in a statement signed by its secretary, Diseye Nwankwe, said the idea of sending the coaches to the National Institute of Sports was for young Bayelsa coaches to compete favourably with their peers within and outside the state.

According to him, the association is committed to enabling grassroots football coaches in the state acquire the basic certificate in coaching as well as equipping them with modern coaching techniques and in order to impact skills in their respective teams during tournaments.

The statement explains that the four coaches are Donbai Emmanuel of Donbai United Football Academy, Edike Dift of Dream Boys Football Academy, Freeborn Mere Hope Alive FC Otuoke and Ugbana Wole Isaac FC Silina.

It further explains that the four selected coaches are young gaffers who have over the years shown character and dedication during competitions in the state, stating that the training would give them more exposure when they have returned to prepare for the state league and the Prosperity Cup season seven this year.

It notes that this is the second time that the Barr. Poubeni Ogun led FA would be enrolling coaches at the National Institute of Sports NIS, saying that the association was leaving nothing to chance to see that they excel in their careers.

It equally urges them to give Bayelsa State good representation during the exercise, maintaining that they are confident that coaches would come out with flying colours in the program.
