Abeokuta, Ogun State – On December 8, 2024, a remarkable celebration took place as Dr. Mrs. Soliat Bolanle Isola marked her 60th birthday, an event that highlighted her significant contributions to education and her unwavering commitment to the Muslim community. The festivities unfolded across three prominent Central Mosques in Abeokuta—Ikija Central Mosque, Oke-Ona Egba Central Mosque, and Kobiti Central Mosque—where she was honored with the esteemed titles of Iya Adinni of Ikija, Iya Adinni of Oke-Ona Egba, and Ogboye Obinrin Adinni of Egba Muslims.




Known for her exemplary role as an educationist and devoted mother, Dr. Soliat Bolanle Isola is the spouse of former UK Ambassador, His Excellency Alhaji Sarafa Tunji Isola. Her husband lauded her as a beacon of excellence, emphasizing her profound influence in education, family life, and public service.



Her academic journey began at Sepeteri Community High School in Oyo State, progressing through the Oyo State College of Education Lanlate, she before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Ibadan, Masters Degree from University of Jos, Plateau State. She later attained a PhD in Educational Planning from Nassarawa State University, further solidifying her commitment to education.



Throughout her career, Alhaja Isola held various key positions, including Vice Principal and Principal at numerous schools across Nigeria. She ultimately retired as Deputy Director in the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Abuja, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of countless students.





























Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Isola is celebrated as a nurturing mother and wife. Her dedication to instilling values of discipline and faith in her children reflects her deep commitment to her Islamic beliefs and community service, garnering her widespread respect and admiration.



The birthday celebration attracted a host of dignitaries, including Chief Elder Joju Fadairo, Alhaji Mutiulai Dada (Chairman of the Muslim Community in Ikija), Hon. Sabur Sina Aroyehun, and Alhaji Jeleel Akindele, among others. Their attendance illustrated the high esteem in which Alhaja Ishola is held within the community.



Expressing his pride, Alhaji Sarafa Tunji Isola, who carries the titles of Baba Adini of Muslims in Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta, as well as Taiyese of Muslims of Ikija, praised his wife’s unwavering dedication to education and faith, calling her a source of inspiration for all.



As family, friends, and community members came together to celebrate Alhaja Dr. Mrs. Soliat Bolanle Isola, it was clear that her legacy of excellence, compassion, and commitment to education and faith will continue to resonate for generations to come. This milestone birthday stands not only as a personal achievement but as a testament to a life devoted to uplifting others and serving the community with grace and dedication.
