FIFA and CAF accredited photojournalist, Abdul Momoh, announces a photography workshop and award night for photographers and photojournalists in Nigeria.
This was disclosed at a press conference at the Taiwo Awoniyi Media Sports Center, Kwara State SWAN Secretariat. Stadium Complex
The programme aims to refresh participants' skills with modern photography technology, enhance camera operation knowledge, and recognize the contributions of photography in in journalism and sports development.
Top resource persons will convene at the Kwara State Stadium on December 17th at 10:00 a.m. to interact with photography enthusiasts during a seminar tagged 'Stepping Up Photography.' This event will feature a panel discussion where photographers can share ideas and seek ways to advance the profession.
The Executive Chairman, Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bolakale Magaji, commended Abdul Momoh's efforts in his chosen career, pledging state support, through the Commission for the valuable programme.
Kwara State SWAN Chairman ISMAIL Ayodeji applauded Abdul Momoh for the initiative, encouraging all SWAN members to seize this opportunity to upgrade their skills in modern sports journalism.
Amebo Newspaper gathered that Sports stakeholders and dignitaries in attendance, including Director of Sports, Mallam Ibrahim Bako, Director of Football ABS FC Ilorin, Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka, Bayour ISSAH (Mr. Sports), Alhaji OWOLABI Agbaji Wopa, former SA to former Minister of National Planning and others dignitaries Mr Abiodun president general Kwara State photographers and Videographers Association and the CEO Praise photo Mr David Adewuyi
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, December 17, 2024, with practical training at the Main Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex at 9:00 AM, and Dinner & Award Night will take place at Henry George Hotels, Ilorin, at 4:00 PM.
Abdul Momoh, the Masterclass organizer, expressed gratitude for the encouragement received, stating his dream to give back to society through photography.
Dignitaries across Nigeria are expected to grace the occasion.
