Ogun State has been declared the Best Overall Performing State in ICT Development at the 12th Regular Council Meeting of the National Council on Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy (NCCIDE), which concluded on December 6, 2024.
The prestigious event, held at Nnam Hall, Old GRA, Bende Street, Makurdi, Benue State, brought together 27 state commissioners responsible for ICT, innovation, and digital economy across the federation.
Ogun State earned the top spot through a rigorous peer review process, outshining all 36 states in recognition of its exemplary strides in digital technology development. The award was presented by the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, and received on behalf of the Ogun State Government by Mr. Ridwan Odufowora.
This achievement underscores Ogun State’s unwavering commitment to advancing technological innovation, e-governance, and the digital economy under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, CON. The recognition highlights the state’s efforts to leverage digital transformation as a driver of governance, economic growth, and societal development.
