Warri/Effurun Peace Marathon 2024 Postponed Indefinitely Due to Road Construction.

The much-anticipated 2024 edition of the Warri/Effurun Peace Marathon, initially slated for November 30th, 2024, has been postponed indefinitely.

 This announcement was made by the organizers, citing ongoing large-scale road construction and rehabilitation projects being undertaken by the Delta State Government across the Warri/Effurun metropolis.

According to the organizers, the extensive roadwork would significantly affect the marathon route and overall logistics, prompting the decision to delay the event.

"We deeply regret any inconvenience this development may cause our participants, supporters, and stakeholders," the management stated in an official release.

While a new date has not yet been confirmed, the organizers assured the public that all necessary arrangements would be finalized before announcing a rescheduled date. 

The goal, they emphasized, is to ensure a safe, seamless, and successful marathon experience.

Further updates will be communicated in due course as the organizers work closely with relevant authorities to determine a suitable timeline for the event.
