In a vibrant display of support, Ward 13 in Sagamu Local Government welcomed the campaign team of Hon. Alhaji Dada Ogunyombo, the APC Councillorship candidate, during a significant visit today. The team, led by Hon. Ronke Shoyombo (Special Adviser for Education), Hon. AKA (SA to the Ogun State Governor), and Hon. Femi Ogundalu, kicked off the day with a respectful visit to the palace of HRH Ọba Olugbenga Gbadebo Sonuga (Ogbodo I), the Fadesewa of Simawa. During this royal encounter, the Fadesewa extended his blessings to Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, urging him to persist in his impactful community projects and road improvements. In turn, Odulate expressed his commitment to establishing an area office in Simawa if elected.
The campaign team then made their way to Mechanic Village, where they were warmly received by the leadership and members of the N.A.T.A. Representatives from N.A.T.A. acknowledged the accomplishments of Hon. AFO during his first term and pledged their unwavering support for his continued leadership. In a show of gratitude, Leader Ade and Ade thanked NATA for their past support and appealed for their continued backing in the upcoming election.
Next on the agenda was a visit to HRH Alayeluwa Ọba S.O. Dawodu, the Onigbepa of Igbepa, who offered his fatherly blessings to the campaign team. The visit was further marked by the honorary title of Yeye-Olofin of Igbepa bestowed upon Hon. Toyin Jekami. The turnout from Ward 13 was impressive, with a minute’s silence observed in memory of Comrade Awolesi Saheed (AKA Star Boy). Leaders Raji and Hon. Tunde Sonubi praised the community’s readiness for the forthcoming election, encouraging Ogbeni Olasile Jubril Odulate to stay dedicated to their needs.
Oloye Odutola Adeniyi, the Baba L’oja of Igbepa, voiced his appreciation for Ogbeni Olasile Odulate’s leadership, assuring him of the traders’ steadfast support. The sentiments were echoed by the campaign Director-General, while Odulate expressed heartfelt thanks to the people of Ward 13 for their loyalty. The event culminated with Party Chairman Mr. Opaleye presenting the party flag to Hon. Alhaji Dada Ogunyombo, symbolizing the community's commitment to the upcoming elections.
