Sagamu LG Election: Campaign Resumes with Unwavering Community Support and Promises of Progress.




Campaign activities resumed today with Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate (AFO) and his team engaging stakeholders across Ward 10. The day began with a visit to HRH ỌBA Muyideen Oluwaseyi Soile I, Ayanperuwa of Sotubo, where AFO received royal and fatherly blessings. The team also paid a courtesy visit to Elder Prince Benjamin Akinbayo Otunba Osho, a respected APC statesman in Ewu-Oloja, who offered prayers and heartfelt support for AFO’s candidacy.

A mammoth crowd waited for the Chairmanship candidate's arrival with party members from all six zones gathering in an impressive show of support. Prince Onalaja, the Ward 10 Campaign Director General, expressed deep appreciation to party chairman Hon. Opaleye, all transport unions, Commissioner Ola Oresanya, and other notable leaders who attended. Princess Adepeju Ayobola, Iyaloja General of Ogijo, urged market leaders to rally behind Ogbeni Odulate and Ward 10 Councilor Hon. Immaculate on Election Day, as she mentioned Ogbeni Odulate's impact in the construction of the Ogijo Ultra Modern Market

Aare Afonja, State Treasurer of TORAN, assured the leaders that all transport unions in Ogijo are firmly behind APC, promising a strong victory. Prince Oyetola expressed gratitude to His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun for believing in AFO's second term candidacy as a proven leader, to lead Sagamu Local Government once more. He pledged that Ward 10 will deliver an overwhelming majority, backed by the support of the Ologijo of Ogijo. Hon. Lawal praised AFO’s legacy from his first term, noting that his accomplishments continue to resonate within the community.

Hon. Ola Awoniyi, Chairman of the Ward 10 Leaders Forum, recalled AFO’s dedication during challenging times, asserting that AFO’s legacy is still vividly remembered by Ogijo residents. Hon. Afolabi Akininwunmi Malaki commended AFO’s inclusive leadership, a trait that has endeared him to the people.

The Ebira community, led by NASS Ibrahim, acknowledged AFO’s dedication to the ward and pledged their full support on Election Day. Likewise, Kabiru Sanusi, Hausa Community Leader, promised strong backing from his community. Hon. Hassan, former Chairman of Sagamu South CDA, emphasized that AFO’s first tenure was marked by exceptional achievements, and his rare leadership qualities have secured him widespread support.

Hon. Muri Awolaja conveyed appreciation for His Excellency’s ongoing projects at Iperu and the Ogijo expressway, reassuring the community of continued progress under AFO’s leadership. Hon. Azeez Arole Bello, the SLG APC Campaign Director General, reiterated Ogijo’s significance within SLG, emphasizing the area’s potential for growth under committed leadership.

In his address, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate extended his heartfelt gratitude to the assembled leaders and acknowledged the efforts of the Ward Councilor, whose requests have continuously championed community progress. AFO reaffirmed his commitment to Ogijo’s development, promising more infrastructure and improvements in his second term. The event concluded with Mr. Opaleye, the Party Chairman, presenting the party flag to Hon. Immaculate, urging him to uphold APC’s values with loyalty and dedication.
