The campaign for the Chairmanship candidacy of Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, affectionately known as AFO, is gaining significant traction as he and his dedicated team continue their tour across the vibrant communities of Sagamu. Recent engagements in Ward 14 and Ward 9 have showcased a remarkable outpouring of support from residents, solidifying AFO’s position as a favorite in the upcoming elections.
In Ward 14, the atmosphere was electric as AFO’s campaign team was met with open arms by artisans, union members, market women, professionals, and educators. The community’s warmth was palpable, and the enthusiasm was infectious. Hon. Soyombo, the Special Adviser on Education, took the stage to deliver an inspiring speech that resonated with the crowd. He emphasized AFO’s unwavering commitment to community development and the transformative leadership he represents. Elder Baba Ajayi also addressed the gathering, proudly declaring Ward 14 as “AFO’s territory,” a testament to the Chairman's impactful work in the area.
The Director-General of the campaign, Hon. Azeez Arole Bello, further fueled the excitement by reflecting on AFO’s past achievements. He assured the crowd that even greater accomplishments lie ahead, urging everyone to unite and support AFO on election day. The campaign trail then moved to Ward 9, encompassing the communities of Emuren and Ode Lemo, where the reception was nothing short of extraordinary. In Emuren, HRH. Oba Adesegun Bolaji Alowonle, the Elemuren of Emuren, sent his blessings in absentia, marking a significant show of support from the traditional leadership. Upon arrival in Ode Lemo, a jubilant crowd erupted in cheers, warmly welcoming AFO and his team.
The Deputy Campaign Director, Hon. Skin, addressed the enthusiastic audience, calling for unity and resilience in the face of political challenges. He underscored the historical significance of Ward 9 in shaping the future of Sagamu, reinforcing the idea that every vote counts in this pivotal election.
