Three-time Rivers State Sports Commissioner, Barr Christopher Green has commiserated with Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali over the death of his Father.
Nwabali took to social media to announce the news of his Father's sad passing on Friday.
The Chippa United goalkeeper who is the official face of Sports in Rivers State was disconsolate as he posted the message, "....goodbye Dad" followed with a tearful emoji on his Whatsapp status.
"Nwabali is not just a great ambassador of Rivers State and Nigeria but also a fantastic footballer who has grown in leaps and bounds in the service of his motherland.
"This is a young Man I've taken and adopted as my own Son so you could imagine my shock and extreme sadness to learn of the unfortunate passing of his (Nwabali's) father.
"I send my love, support and message of condolences to our dear son, Stanley Nwabali and his immediate family on behalf of the good people of Rivers State.
"We are all with him at this trying times and pray that God gives him the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss," Barr. Green concluded.
