Nasarawa United have celebrated Victor Collins’ maiden invitation to the Super Eagles.
Collins was named in the Super Eagles squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda by caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen on Wednesday.
The centre-back is the only home-based player included in the squad.
The defender was previously invited to the Super Eagles Team B for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against the Black Galaxies of Ghana.
“We are ecstatic about this development as this is as a result of his hard work, commitment and passion for the sport, and we have no doubt that he will, like our other ambassadors, make valuable contributions to the National Team,” Nasarawa United wrote in a statement.
The Super Eagles will be away to Benin Republic on Thursday, November 14.
Augustine Eguavoen’s side will entertain Rwanda four days later at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
