Kwara region champions, FC Zeal, have arrived in Abuja for the National Finals of the 5Star Premier League, where they aim to secure victory. The team departed from Ilorin early Friday morning, arriving in the Federal Capital Territory in the evening, filled with optimism as they prepare for their match scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2024.
In the semi-finals, FC Zeal will face Wireless FC, the Abuja region winners, at 1 PM. The winner will advance to the finals against the victor of the match between Ojodu City, representing Lagos State, and Senchi FC from Kaduna. All matches will take place at the AstroTurf Pitch, Accra Street, Wuse Zone 5, with the final set for 4 PM.
Team Manager Ibrahim Abiola expressed confidence in the squad's capabilities: “We are proud to represent Kwara State here in Abuja. Our goal is to win the trophy, and I believe it’s achievable. The boys are in high spirits and ready to replicate their success from the regional finals.”
Coach Oloso Muritada Abiodun echoed this sentiment, noting that the team is well-prepared both technically and physically after their impressive 5-2 victory over Gaa Akanbi FC in the Kwara regional final.
