The arrest was confirmed by the police spokeswoman in the command, SP Omolola Odutola.
According to the PPRO, some residents of Araromi area of Owode Egba reported at the police station on Friday, October 4, at about 10am, that on their return home at about 6pm the previous day, they met their houses broken into by unknown individuals.
The complainants said that they discovered that various items, including clothes, beverages, slippers, power bank and others were missing.
SP Odutola said that the report prompted detectives into immediate action and the two suspects were arrested during a search of the neighbourhood for the stolen goods.
Some of the stolen items said to have been recovered from them included two power banks, an iPhone, assorted clothing, slippers, bags and beverages.
She said that the suspects would be charged to court after the completion of investigations.
