A lone accident involving a Toyota Camry car with registration number LAGOS KJA 52 OAS has fatally wounded an old woman at Ibara,Omida area of Abeokuta South LG of Ogun state.
The lone accident occurred around 3:35 pm in front of Olubara's Palace.
The driver and owner of the car was said to be a staff of a Polytechnic in the state Capital.
According to eye witnesses, the car while getting close to the Bump section very close to the front of the Palace was said to have veered off the road hitting the unaware old woman from the back, before the car was halted by a big white stone near the gutter lying in front of the Palace.
A young woman who witnessed the scenario said that she was standing right beside the road when she saw the car swerving and the driver struggling with the wheel just before reaching the bump.
" From where I was standing , I saw noticed that the car was swerving and the driver struggling with the steering Wheel. I ran and quickly jumped to the walk way. Unfortunately, the old woman has crossed the road some inches from the turning point. She backed the car and the next moment,she was brutally hit by the car knocking her down, her bag containing foods stuff flew into the gutter. It is going to be a stroke of luck that can see the old woman surviving .She was just breathing with her mouth as she was being taking to the hospital "
The narrowly escaped woman who claimed to be a Trace officer was heard saying " Olorun ijo mimo, mo dupe o"
Newslife Reporter saw the fatally wounded old woman being rushed to the hospital by the owner of the Camry car in a Taxi cab.
