'You are in the best position to let us know if loyalty pays or not' - Yapi Foundation President, Amb. Olayemi Paul Writes Dapo Abiodun

09-09-2024

His Excellency,
Prince Dapo Abiodun (MFR)
The Governor of Ogun State.

YOU ARE IN THE POSITION TO MAKE IT CLEAR AND PROVE TO US IF LOYALTY PAYS OR NOT

Excellency Sir, it takes my boldness to come up with this short message to call your attention to a very crucial issue that is capable of denting your name and taking away the hard-built integrity that you have worked on for many years.

Sir, it is no longer news that all the 20 Local Governments have embarked on their primaries, and results have been prepared and forwarded to the state party secretariat for final presentation to your good office.

All hope lies in the Governor's decision while people are very focused and waiting for the outcome of their choice with an understanding that your decision is final. Please, sir, I don't want you to come up with a decision without taking a little time to study the primary election processing conducted in Ifo Local Government.

APC Ifo Local Government held its primary on Super Tuesday 3rd of September 2024, which was an important action for the Apex Body to choose from the aspirants who declared interest to represent the party as Chairmanship Candidates in the coming Local Government election stated to be held by November 2024.

In Ifo Local Government, we are blessed with 20 Apex leaders, 2 Apex members out of the 20 leaders were among the contestants which restricted them from voting.

There were a total of 18 Apex leaders who voted during the primary processing to choose from the 22 chairmanship aspirants. Hon. Olalekan Idris Kushimo came up with the highest votes while others followed. All Apex Leaders signed the primary election that resulted in Hon. Olalekan Idris Kushimo as the winner of the election.

His Excellency Sir, I can't imagine how some people were busy planning for a daylight robbery with evil plans to manipulate the result that was declared to the party by ganging up to counter the result after they had already agreed and successfully signed the result. I see their actions as selfish interest and not having any love of the party in their hearts with a syndrome of, if not me, nobody else.

I am pleading to you as a father to all and the leading leader in Ogun State to stand by the victory of our man who fought and conquered all the challenges surrounding the journey that later brought out the reward of his commitment to the party for many years to be announced as the Chairmanship Candidate of our great party.

We won't hide our faces and shut our mouths till enemies of progress hijack the mandate of Hon. Hon. Olalekan Idris Kushimo. As a man with good integrity, please don't allow the wicked people and their ganging up to succeed in diverting Hon. Olalekan Idris Kushimo's mandate to someone who had low performance in the last primary processing. All eyes are on you and the voiceless people's hope attached to your final say.

Leaders are supposed to respect the results of the primary as that stands as a conditional way of discovering a man whose popularity builds up a relationship between him and all the Apex Body including party members.

Sir, some leaders are excited that they are going to change people's choices because of their relationship with you and your influence. Saying no amount of the highest scores of Hon. Olalekan Idris Kushimo will get him the Chairmanship ticket.

I believe they can't succeed with their evil plans and daylight robbery because all they want is to paint the Governor black and dent your good image before the people of Ifo Local Government. Never allow their betrayal decision to fly or have any effect on the decision on who to become the candidate of our party in Ifo Local Government.

All trust is in our Apex Leaders in Ifo, but some betrayed the trust we have in them by forming a force to tackle and counter the success of the peaceful primary election processing because their so-called anointed aspirants can't meet up with good scores.

The body is divided, and I am very sure that all the good leaders who believe in the primary election processing will stand up to defend the victory of Hon. Olalekan Idris Kushimo before you, sir. Your impact on the success story of having a youth to represent the party will never be forgotten. Please never fail us in Ifo Local Government.

As a credible personality, you have to stand up as a leader to jealously protect the victory of your Son, Hon. Olalekan Idris Kushimo. I am very sure he will never disappoint you in any way whenever you place a duty call across to him Sir. You are his mentor, and he will remain loyal to you to discharge his duty diligently.
