Hon. Dr. Peter Oyetunji, a two-term member of the Oyo state House of Assembly from 1999 to 2003 and from 2015 to 2019, has mourned the loss of Chief Michael Koleoso, the former Oyo SSG and the Babalaje of Saki land, who gave up the ghost on Monday night.
In his condolence message on Thursday, the former lawmaker described Koleoso’s death as a great loss to the people of Saki land and entire Oke-ogun zone.
Dr. Oyetunji further noted that he had lost not only a leader, but a father, mentor and pillar of support whose contributions to the building of the new Oyo state is unquantifiable.
According to him, Chief Koleoso’s impact on the state will be remembered for generation.
He said: “The demise of Chief Koleoso is irredeemable loss to myself and my political family. He was my pillar of support, a committed and responsible leader who in his life time helped numerous political careers succeed. His death was a rude shock to me. I have lost a doyen.
“My condolences goes to his immediate family, the people of Saki and Oyo state at large, while I pray Almighty God grant Baba eternal rest, I equally pray that he give us the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.”
