Air Peace Partners With Slovak Airline AirExplore To Damp-Lease Four B737-800s, Agrees On Shared Crew Arrangement

Air Peace will damp-lease four Boeing 737-800 aircraft from AirExplore, based in Bratislava, for the upcoming Northern Winter 2024/2025 season.

Under this arrangement, the leased aircraft will come with a cockpit crew provided by the lessor, but cabin attendants will be sourced from Air Peace. This damp lease agreement allows for a shared crew arrangement between the two airlines.

AirExplore, a Slovak airline and subsidiary of Avia Solutions Group (ASG), will supply the cockpit crew, while Air Peace will provide the cabin attendants, according to ch-aviation. The leased Boeing 737-800 aircraft will operate domestically in Nigeria, with Lagos serving as the primary hub for these

According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Air Peace's current fleet comprises: 7 B737-300s, 4 B737-500s, 1 B777-200ER, 2 B777-300s, 8 E145s, 5 E195-E2s, and 1 Do328-300 (executive).

The airline has outstanding orders for 5 E175s, 8 additional E195-E2s and 10 B737-8s.

Additionally, Air Peace has a long-term wet-lease agreement with Eznis Airways for 2 B737-700s.

The reports noted that Air Peace has previously collaborated with ASG's ACMI/charter experts, having damp-leased two A320-200s from SmartLynx Airlines Malta between 2021 and 2023.

When asked by ch-aviation if the newly leased B737-800s would replace or complement the existing B737-700s, Air Peace did not provide a response.

AirExplore, which was acquired by ASG earlier this year, operates a fleet consisting of 9 B737-800 passenger aircraft, 4 B737-800(BCF) cargo aircraft and 4 B737-800(SF) cargo aircraft.

The airline's fleet composition may be subject to changes with the introduction of the new B737-800s.
