The Adamawa Youth Campaign Team (AYCT) has asked the appropriate authorities to consider recalling Honorable Abubakar Baba Zango, the current Member representing Yola North, Yola South, and Girei federal constituency in the House of Representatives.
AYCT cited several reasons for the call, highlighting Zango's failure to effectively represent the interests of his constituents.
In a statement obtained by SaharaReporters on Wednesday, AYCT said, “We, the Adamawa Youth Campaign Team (AYCT), are writing to advise the right body to consider recalling Honorable Abubakar Baba Zango, the current Member representing Yola North, Yola south and Girei federal constituency in the House of Representatives.”
It listed the main grievances as failure to effectively represent your interests, lack of accountability and transparency, poor performance and unfulfilled campaign promises and neglect of constituency projects and developmental initiatives.
It said, “We urge you to take this decision seriously, as it affects the future of our constituency. We believe that it is time for a change, and we must take action to ensure that our voices are heard.
“Recalling Honorable Abubakar Baba Zango will send a strong message that we will no longer tolerate poor representation. We deserve better, and it is our right to demand it.”
