Nothing lesser than Two Thousand (2,000) residents of Ijebu North benefited from a Non Governmental Organisation, BAI ( Bayo Adekoya Initiative) as they were given 4 litres of PMS each.
The chairman of the NGO (Bayo Adekoya Initiative), Barrister Adebayo Adebola Adekoya while speaking with the Press said the gesture is to give back to the people and society at large.
Barrister Bayo, the former Executive Chairman, Ijebu North Local Government said the exercise was centred around giving back to the society to reduce the effect of inflation the world is being faced with.
“At BAI, we have been looking at what to do for the people and how to contribute our own quota to the society and not to leave everything for the Government"
"Our team come together and opted for this idea as a form of giving back to the people because we understand the effect of transportation both positive and the other part of it"
"I'm pleased that we were able to give a lot of people free fuel as we hope to continue this gesture in future to continue to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians,” he said.
The exercise led to an influx of motorcycle riders to NNPC , Ijebu Igbo fuelling station where the exercise was being carried out.
Joyous beneficiaries showered encomiums on the organisation for what they described as the apt intervention.
