The member of House of Representative, Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka to Chair the House Ad-Hoc Committee on Restructuring of Federal Agencies and Commission while Reps Amos Magaji from Kaduna will be his Deputy.
The Committee on Restructuring of Federal Agencies and Commissions is responsible for the following functions:
1. Evaluating the current structure and organization of federal agencies and commissions.
2. Identifying inefficiencies, redundancies, and overlaps in the functions and responsibilities of these agencies and commissions.
3. Recommending changes to streamline and improve the effectiveness of federal agencies and commissions.
4. Conducting reviews and assessments of the performance and accountability of these agencies and commissions.
5. Developing proposals for consolidating or eliminating unnecessary agencies and commissions.
6. Providing guidance and recommendations on optimizing resources and reducing costs.
7. Collaborating with relevant stakeholders, including agency leaders, policymakers, and subject matter experts, to gather input and perspectives.
8. Presenting findings, proposals, and recommendations to relevant government officials and decision-makers.
9. Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of approved changes and reforms.
10. Conducting periodic reviews and assessments to ensure ongoing effectiveness and efficiency.
These functions aim to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability of federal agencies and commissions in order to better serve the needs of the public and achieve the goals of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
