The Allegations Levied Against Hon. Tunde Oladunjoye By The APC Ward – Mr Tunbosun Adeyemi

 

Let me state clearly that my name is Tunbosun Adeyemi, I'm from Ijebu-Ode but resides in UK. I have followed recent developments in Ijebu-East with regards to the suspension of Hon Tunde Oladunjoye and Alhaji Sarafa Odutokun  who are Ogun State Publicity Secretary of All Progressive Congress  and the chairman for Itele ward respectively. I have read the various comments and the letter written from your lawyer demanding a public apology from Hon Onamusi Onadeko. You have alledged that he accused you falsely and will be sued for #100,000,000 if he fails to apologize publicly on the pages of Nigeria print media. 

I have decided to interact with you with the view to having a better understanding of the entire episode and opportunity for you to state your views without insulting anyone. 

1) The notice for the emergency meeting was served on you before the meeting. You are very much aware there was going to be a meeting and you said Hon Onamusi had conveyed the meeting to remove the Ward Chairman. The agenda of the meeting in other words was to your knowledge. You also stated that Hon Onamusi had no followership in the ward which gives you a good ground to have mobilized to the ward meeting, why did you fail to attend such important meeting and forestall the removal of the Ward Chairman since majority of the ward members are in your support. What you did not know however,  was that you are going to be suspended at the meeting. This is very unfortunate.

Let us now look into the process of the suspension as we find in the video recording in circulation. What you need to do is to fault the notice of the meeting and the process of your suspension by the ward, insults and blackmail will not help the matter in this situation. Unfortunately you have again insulted the ward members in your publication “Deko Onamusi organize lunatics from mental home to announce my purported suspension from party ward”  you need to deal with this issue with members of the ward you have referred to as lunatics. 

*THE ALLEGATIONS* 

1. Hon Tunde Oladunjoye has been identified as a mole in the wheel of progress of the State Exco of the party through his nefarious activities, thereby constituting impediments to the discharge of the statutory responsibilities of the State executives of the party.

2. That Hon. Tunde Oladunjoye has also been indicted by a special committee set-up by the leadership of Ijebu-East Local Government; to investigate the reason for failure of the party in the last election.

The committee interviewed 325 ( Three hundred and twenty five) party members across the local government in the course of their investigation and the findings of the committee was that most party members are of the view that going by the antecedents and behaviors of Hon Tunde Oladunjoye; the success of the party will eventually be credited to him; this informs the reason for his arrogance and non-challant attitude towards the party leaders across the Local Government and disenchantment of party members at the election.

3. That Hon. Tunde Oladunjoye has consistently misused his office as the state publicity secretary of the party to undermine the leadership of Ijebu-East, not only did he change the names of the nominees for Ward Chairman and councilors in the last congress; but he unilaterally removed the names of the prominent leaders in the list of delegates at the last convention of the party.

4. The last straw that broke the carmel’s back is the misappropriation of funds and injudicious distribution of commodities meant for party members in Ijebu-East and members of the Ward by the Chairman.

a) Hon Tunde Oladunjoye is still holding money for the 2023 election and has refused to handover same to the leaders.

b) The monthly contributions of appointees of the State Government into his account is with him till date. 

c) The State Government gave about #2m  to Hon Tunde Oladunjoye for the entertainment of party members on the visit of the Governor to Ijebu-Imusin during the local election campaign for Hon Wale Adedayo. The money have not been accounted for till date.

These are allegations by the entire ward members upon which you are both suspended. The signatory to the notice of your suspension was signed by the Vice Chairman on the directive of the ward. The allegations were not made by Hon Onamusi. I have not seen any statement signed by Hon Onamusi Onadeko to justify the letter you asked your lawyer to write to him. I will be glad if you can produce public documents to that effect.

“Ori nla ko ni Headmaster” “Firigbon o si ilekun”  meaning It is not by the size of your head that qualifies you to become headmaster, your huge body bult cannot open a door, it is he who holds the key that can open the door. Let’s be very honest with ourselves, your pride and disrespect for leaders will consume you soonest. I read one of your publications you claimed you sent 25k to Hon Onamusi Onadeko in December and that he initially rejected the gift, four hours later he acknowledged the receipt with thanks. I spoke with Hon Onamusi on this issue.  First and foremost, what is 25k to Hon Onamusi?  What you did not know was that within the span of that four hours, Hon Onamusi was searching for your account number from Government circle until he spoke to someone in YAYI group (name withheld) who advised that he should play maturity and receive the money, it was only after then Hon Onamusi received the money.  

I have tried to examine where your illusions, pride and arrogance comes from and I have come to conclusion that few individuals in the State are backing you in this political suicide mission you have embarked upon. What you fail to realize is the fact that this government tenure will be over in 3 years and you will these leaders in the course of your political ambition in the future. Yes you were appointed the Ogun State Publicity Secretary, you were not elected. Please ask yourdelf this question, if the local government is asked to elect a State Publicity Secretary for the party today, would they elect you? Those who are supporting you to do havoc and disrespect the leaders in the local government should read the publication of Mr Adebayo Dada on the “The Devil Incarnate”  Your response to the article was that the author and writeup is fake. One would expect you respond and debunk these allegations and not sweep it under the carpet.
