Obafemi-Owode LG Chairman, Ogunsola Bags 'Best Local Government Chairman' in Ogun Awards

The Chairman of Obafemi-Owode Local Government, OOLG, Ambassador Ogunsola Lanrewaju Adesina has bagged the outstanding awards as the best local government chairman in Ogun state from The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC today 30th of April, 2024. 



According to the Comrade Ambassador Hammed Benco Adekoya, The State Chairman of The Nigeria Labour Congress, Ogun state reflecting on Nelson Mandela's leadership cited one of his quotes "To be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and essence of our struggle – a collective endeavor to build a society where every worker is afforded the dignity and respect they rightfully deserve.". 


The awards and Gala night had in attendance the Executive Governor of Ogun state ably represented by Mr Kehinde Onasanya, The Head of Service in Ogun state, Nigeria Union of Teachers executives and other labour unions.


Comrade Ambassador Hammed Benco Adekoya said the awards is to inspire the recipients who has meritoriously performed in their various endeavors to do better for humanity. 







Ogunsola after receiving the awards appreciated the union for counting him worthy of the awards, noting that the awards will challenge him to do more in his service to humanity.

However, he charged the members of Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Ogun state chapter on transparency and dedication to humanity to retain the trust the workers has in the union. 


Other awardees includes Kehinde Onasanya, The Head of Service in Ogun state, Chief Sina Ogundimu, Comrade Kehinde Sogunle, Mr Fat Ogun Kolawole Peters,  Barrister Okenla Olukayode, Barrister Lukman Abiodun Abdullahi, Apple And Pears, Dr Agboola Afis Akanni, Comrade Adenuga Adedeji Odunuga, Comrade Adetunji Ayomide Quality, Comrade Ismail Mustapha Yaro among others.
