Crescent University in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital has honoured the Director of Barods Global Limited, Mr. Babatunde Denton with the prestigious "Entrepreneurship and Leadership Mentoring award" alongside five other Nigerians.
Mr. Denton was recognized for his exceptional role in the real estate industry and his remarkable leadership in nurturing the talents and skills of young individuals from all walks of life.
The award was conferred on him alongside five others Nigerians who have distinguished themselves with Bola Ajibola Community Service Awards 2024 in four categories including "Welfare and Child Ethics', 'Reading Culture and Education Advocacy', 'Da'wah and Hospital Welfare Support' and Entrepreneurship and Leadership Mentoring, marking its 18th Founder's Day, held at Crescent University, Abeokuta.
Mr Denton was accompanied by his wife Mrs Ruth Denton, the General Manger of Barods Global, Ajibola Akinwande, his Personal Assistance, Lawrita Agbor among others.
Beyond his achievements in the real estate sector, Babatunde Denton has also made a significant impact through his leadership role, he has actively worked towards building competences in youths, empowering them to realize their full potential.
While speaking to journalists shortly after the presentation, Mr Denton expressed his gratitude to God Almighty, the organizers for the recognition and emphasized the importance of investing in the youth.
He said "This recognition by Crescent University serves as a reminder of the immense impact that individuals can make through their dedication, vision, and commitment."
Mr Denton hinted the need for mentorship and guidance to help young individuals navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship and leadership.
Barods Global Limited Boss also pledged to continue his efforts in empowering and inspiring the next generation of business leaders.
Other awardees include Mrs Stella Willoughby, a lecturer, university administrator and Executive Secretary of ljamido Children Home who got the award for her promotion of orphan and child care ethics and Islamic Humanitarian Society of Nigeria, represented by its National Coordinator Mr Rasheed Okenla, was recognized for commitment to humanitarian services in correctional centres in the country.
Similarly, Mr. Akeem Salami Adeola, a Public Relations guru cum serial entrepreneur who has successfully managed local and international brands, and Mr Adeola Adelanwa, a unique manufacturer who pioneered truck-based catering company, Mobile Kitchen Limited, in Nigeria, were honoured for their shrewd entrepreneurship and leadership mentoring.
