Shuaibu storms PDP Headquarters, demands certificate of return

Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shauibu, on Wednesday, stormed the National Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, seeking his certification of return.

Shaibu, emerged as the winner of a factional Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, primary election held on February 22.

 

He was declared the party’s candidate for the September 21, 2024 governorship election with 301 votes out of the total number of 559 votes cast at the primary by Honourable Moses Bartholomew.

 

Upon his arrival at the PDP, Shauibu claimed an imposter may have collected his certificate of return.

He said, “Today is the day set aside for the collection of the certificate of return for the winner of the primary. I understand someone came yesterday and was given, well, the court will decide.”
