IFO— Member of Ogun state House of Assembly, representing Ifo II State Constituency, Hon. Fola Salami, The Chairman Of Ifo Local Government, Chief Mrs Kikelomo Delano and other critical stakeholders in Oke-Aro today led a police delegation by the CP of Ogun State, Alamutu ably represented by O/C works Ogun State Command Eleweran, Inspector Kolawole to Araromi-Fakile Market, at Giwa-OkeAro for the establishment of police post to enhance security architecture around OkeAro-Lambe-Matogbun and environs.
The initiative was welcomed by the CDC, CDA, Community chiefs who acknowledged the steps taken towards ensuring a safe, conducive and a crime-free environment for businesses to thrive.
The DPO of Agbado Police Division, Awoniyi Adekunle decried that the police station at Agbado is unable to respond to all queries as quickly as possible due to the rail line that has cut the police station from the majority of the community but with the siting of another police post, it will make police respond to all manner of issues as quick as possible. This he said would save cost and also save lives and properties.
He therefore urged all stakeholders to embrace the development of the establishment of a new police post.
The Local Government chairman, however, urged those who have encroached on the property which was initially designated for LG activities and market to vacate as work will commence soonest and that the property will be fenced to prevent future encroachment.
Salami on his part commended the effort while stating that every effort to make it work will be prioritized as the security of lives and property is the most important for all residents of Ifo II State constituency.
Those present at the inspection include but not limited to Chief (Mrs) Cecilia Jolaade Akintobi, Baale, and chiefs of Araromi-Fakile, community leaders.
