HON. SEYI SOWUNMI APPOINTED TO LAGOS STATE ADVISORY COUNCIL ON SOCIAL INTERVENTION PROGRAMS
The Governor of the Lagos State, His Excellency Babajide Sanwoolu has appointed a well-respected and dedicated public servant, Hon. Seyi Sowunmi to serve on the State’s Special Dispensation Advisory Council on social intervention programs in Lagos State. This appointment is a testament to Hon. Seyi Sowunmi’s commitment to improving the quality of life in Lagos State.
According to the Governor, the appointment is recognition of Hon. Seyi Sowunmi’s esteemed position as a thought leader and advocate for positive change and the advisory committee is tasked with working alongside the Governor and his leadership team to create and implement effective social safety nets and economic support initiatives to assist Lagos residents during these challenging times.
The members of the Advisory Council cut across Christian and Muslim leaders, civil society, youth representative, political leaders across party lines, government officials and consumer right advocate.
"I commend His Excellency for this all-inclusive initiative irrespective of political, religious, ethnic or gender bias. I believe this ensure transparency and accountability. I am honoured to have been appointed to the State Special Dispensation Advisory Council on social intervention programs in Lagos State," said Hon Seyi Sowunmi. "I look forward to working with my fellow council members to ensure that individuals and families in our state get the necessary government supports they deserve during difficult times."
Hon. Seyi Sowunmi is a Labour Party member of the House of Representatives representing the good people of Ojo Federal Constituency in Lagos State. He is the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Local Content and member of the House Committees on Science And Technology, Foreign Aids, Loans and Debt Management, Capital Market and Institutions, Labour And Productivity, Environment, Information Communication Technology, and Rural Electrification among others.
