As the year 2024 farming season approaches, The House of Representatives member Ifo/Ewekoro federal constituency, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka has initiated an agricultural development program aimed at empowering farmers in the constituency.
The program was launched today 25th of January 2024 with free distribution of fertilizers and herbicides to support the forthcoming 2024 farming season.
The primary objective of this agricultural development program is to enhance the productivity and sustainability of farming activities within the Ifo and Ewekoro Federal Constituency by providing free fertilizers and herbicides to alleviate the financial burden on local farmers and enable them to optimize their agricultural output.
The provision of free fertilizers and herbicides will indeed serve as a relief to the farmers who has low purchasing power for these essential agricultural inputs, It will also enable farmers to be better positioned to prepare and engage themselves in the forthcoming farming season.
This support will not only boost their morale but also instilled a sense of confidence in their ability to achieve improved yields at the end of the farming season.
The free distribution of fertilizers and herbicides is part of the agricultural development program which represents a significant investment in the prosperity of farmers within the Ifo and Ewekoro Federal Constituency by addressing their immediate needs and improving sustainable agriculture, this initiative is poised to contribute positively to food security, economic growth, and rural development in the region.
