Ogun Lawmaker urges Abiodun To Create Data Base For Job Opportunities


Hon. Igbalaye Wasiu Ayodele (IWA), the house of Assembly member representing Abeokuta South Constituency II, has urged the Governor of Ogun State, Prince  Dapo Abiodun to establish a comprehensive database aimed at providing equitable access to job opportunities for the state’s youth.

 

This call was made during a courtesy visit by the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), led by the Chairman of the Ogun chapter, Comrade Olóyè Akolawole Shoremi.

 

The meeting brought to light concerns surrounding the youths on employment opportunities, Shoremi shared ideas and ideology with the Lawmaker.

 

In his capacity as the Chairman of the Committee on Youth and Sports at the Ogun State House of Assembly (OGHA), IWA shared his profound vision for youth development, saying that he had  laid out comprehensive strategies aimed at enhancing the prospects of the youth in Ogun State.

 

He underscored  the commitment of the Progressive Pentagon to employment and job creation.

 

IWA said “I urge His Excellency, our amiable, Governor, Prince  Dapo Abiodun, to establish a robust database for Ogun Youth.

 

” A meticulously maintained database will ensure that qualified youth, regardless of their connections, are given due consideration for job opportunities. It will serve as a guiding tool for the government to identify and recruit candidates based on merit,” emphasized IWA.

 

IWA echoed and affirmed this call for youth empowerment and job inclusivity, signalling a crucial step towards fostering a fair and prosperous future for Ogun’s young population.

 

“The collective push signals a crucial step towards fostering a fair and prosperous future for Ogun’s young population. As momentum gathers, the spotlight is on Governor Abiodun to heed this resonating call for positive change in youth employment practices”.
