It was all glamour coated with some glitz when the Abeokuta South Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), honoured Hon. Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi (JP) as the Best Workersh' Friendly Chairman ever today 23rd of November, 2023.
According to Hon. Akano Yaya Kayode,Supervisor For Information, Abeokuta South Local Government, The ceremony recognised the efforts, zeal and compassion exhibited by the Majekodunmi's led administration towards the teeming population of Abeokuta South Local Government Secretariat workforce; his ability to correctly study the workers' plights and meet same with a strong-willed empathy, which often triggers his resolve to bring succour to each of the Local Government staffers.
The Chairman, while receiving the award appreciated the Union for deeming it worthy of such excellent recognition, while adding that the staffers of the local government often show greater understanding, and perfect knowledge of boss and subordinate relationships and are not averse to their duties and take 'responsibility' as a core driving ethic in a working environment they found themselves. "Keep up the good work and possibly step up the responsive approach to service delivery, he advised.
The Union in its response, pledged to better their lots, in terms of delivering indelible service which the local government boss will continue to be proud of. They equally assure the Chairman that they have a stock-taking mechanism, which allows them to revisit and appraise their highs and lows, and accord necessary action to redirect, better and improve on necessary areas of administrative concerns.
