The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Mr. Nyesom Wike, says a number of the region’s ongoing road projects will be completed in less than eight months.
Wike assured on Saturday after assessing the state of development on a few projects in Abuja.
Among the projects inspected were Julius Berger’s restoration of the Federal Secretariat and the completion of the Central Area’s roads B6, B12, and Circle Road.
Wike also checked on CGC’s development of the outer Southern Motorway and Setraco’s work on the southern Parkway, which runs from Christian Centre (S8/9) to Ring Road 1.
Four interchanges were part of the project, which extended from the Villa Roundabout to the OSEX/Ring Road 1 Junction.
He examined the entire Arterial Road N20 expansion, which runs from Northern Parkway to ONEX with spurs managed by Gilmor Engineering.
According to the minister, President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda was not just rhetoric but actually a reality.
“So, sometimes it is good for you (journalists) to join us for inspection and see what we are telling the public, whether it is correct or just mere propaganda.
“The renewed hope agenda is not propaganda. It is the reality that Nigerians must see. So, I am very happy with what I have seen today.
