It is indeed another moment of sober reflection in Nigeria's history as the Nation celebrates her 63rd independence anniversary. The nation has gone through many testing situations which ordinarily has disintegrated many nations but Nigeria always emerged stronger and stronger as one indivisible Nation.
In line with this, His Royal Highness Dr Selky Kile Torughedi, the Eyewei the 5th of Azuzuama, Southern Ijaw LGA of Bayelsa State has urged Nigerians not to forget the labour of Nigeria's Heroes who have done in the past and present to keep Nigeria as one Nation, and sympathize with those who have lost their love ones in the past and present servicing their fathers land in the integrity of their various offices.
The Southern Pan Nigerian Monarch made this known in his Independence Day Message to Mark Nigeria's 63rd Independence Anniversary on Sunday 1st October in Abuja.
The Monarch noted that though the nation was going through many challenges, he remain optimistic that the nation was only undergoing metamorphosis into a greater, better and more prosperous Nation. He called on Nigerians not to despair as the current challenges will only birth a better experience for them, urging on government at all levels to show commitment in ensuring that the livelihoods of citizens are improved for the better.
He reminded Nigerian leaders to put into perspective the fact that the nation's founding fathers laboured not for their selfish interests but had in mind the greater good of the nation and the prosperity of her people.
He wished Nigerians happy celebration.
