Man cheats death as political hoodlum run after his life over election money in Ogun

 

......The hoodlum killed his mother in a fire accident in a move to collect election money 

A young man identified as Akinwunmi Abass Olawale was said to have been on the run after his mothers demise in Ogun state.

Mrs Akinwunmi Basirat Derinsola was the women leader of People's Democratic Party, PDP in ward 9 Ijeun—Titun and Ago—Egun area of Abeokuta South, Ogun state. 

The mother, Akinwunmi Basirat Derinsola according to investigation was allegedly set ablazed by unknown assailant suspected to be the members of People’s Democratic Party PDP, resulting to high degree of injury on the 17th of April 2023 in her residence, after a  false information got to them that the money meant for February 2023 election was kept in her custody but refused to give it out during the election. 

Mrs Akinwunmi Basirat Derinsola was said to have been attacked in the early month of April 2023 by suspected political hoodlums who were after the money believed to be in her custody meant for the February 2023 election  which is totally not true according to our investigative report. 

She was reportedly set ablazed inside her room alongside a political leader identified as SS as fondly called by the political members of the party in early April, 2023 where they both sustained high degree of fire burns.

Mrs Akinwunmi Basirat Derinsola alongside SS  was rescued by neighbors after the ugly incident and taken to first contact hospital for first aid, and later were both rushed to Federal Medical Centre, FMC in Idi-Aba Abeokuta where she finally gave up the ghost on the 13th of June 2023 with burns all over her body. 

The hoodlums never relented but goes after Mrs Akinwunmi Basirat Derinsola first son, Akinwunmi Abass Olawale with the hope of having access to his Mother's account and belongings. 

Olawale Abass has escaped series of targeted attack from the political hoodlums confronting him of the whereabouts of the election funds his mother purportedly collected from the candidate of People's Democratic Party PDP in the February 25th election which was believed not spent appropriately.

After series of attack, Akinwunmi Abass Olawale petitioned the Nigeria Police Force to get maximum security over his life and properties but all efforts proof abortive as the hoodlums kept calling and threatening his life on his mobile phone. 

The threats, which made Akinwunmi Abass Olawale to go into hidden to be safe from his attackers, he has been taking shelter in an unknown hide out abandoning of his personal home to get security. 

Since April 2023, Akinwunmi Abass Olawale and his family’s life has been on threat as his businesses and services was tampered with by the political hoodlum who threatened to kill him and his family if they caught them on the street to revenge the money believed to be in his mother's custody.

Akinwunmi Abass Olawale and his family has since then been at large.
