A lagos based couple identified as Austin Essien and his wife who can be identified with the below picture has allegedly duped one Abiodun Mabayomije Adenuga, a residence of Lagos state of a whopping sum of One Million and Two Hundreds Thousand naira under the pretense of being paid to deliver a 20ft by 40ft empty container which was displayed on the popular online buying and selling platform JIJI.
The victim, Abiodun Mabayomije Abiodun alleged that he asked for refund after suspecting a foul play by both couple after he made the payment of the empty tank.
According to his Facebook post on Friday 8th of September he wrote;
SCAM ALERT
I wish to inform the of the general public that this couple, Austin Essien and Abigail Asabea Essien are fraudsters using E-commerce platform JIJI.com to dupe unsuspecting users of the app.
I paid them the sum of N1.2m for the supply of 20ft by 40ft empty containers and they failed to supply or refund my money as they have gone incommunicado since I started asking for refund.
Whoever has any information about this couple should kindly help by sharing with me.
I appeal to everyone to help me share this post to shame these crooks and also save other people from these financial predators.
