Senator Shehu Sani, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has slammed the Kaduna State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal over the judgement it delivered on Thursday.
Recall that the media space was thrown into confusion on Thursday following the tribunal judgement on the petition file by the PDP and its candidate in the March 18 governorhip election, Isa Mohammed Ashiru.
While some reports said the court affirmed Governor Ubah Sani’s election after dismissing the petition filed by the PDP, and its candidate, Isa, other accounts said the tribunal sacked the governor while declaring the election inconclusive.
However, it later became clear that tribunal upheld the governor’s election.
Reacting, Shehu Sani in a post on his X account, accused the judges of giving a confused judgement.
According to him, the tribunal cowardly gave the judgement to appease both the PDP and the ruling party.
The post reads, “The Judges for the Kaduna Election Tribunal spent four months and cowardly ended up giving judgement aimed at appeasing both sides and confusingly leaving both sides “confidently floating in the stream of doubt”.
