63rd INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION: NO TRANSFORMATION COMES WITHOUT PAINS — Sen. Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi

The Nigeria we have is completely different from the dreams of our long gone Patriotic leaders who fought for the independence.

No transformation or growth comes without pains, so unfortunate that the system at hand is so rotten badly that what President Bola Tinubu battles with is a hydra-headed monster. Every right thinking person will still have to support the government to rescue and redeem the ugly situation.

We must however not allow our political differences to destroy the main fabric of our existence. Mr President did asked for the job and he knew what he wanted however, it is possible that he met a different situation now while on the job. This is time we the disciples of PBAT needs to encourage the populace that his capacity and capability to deliver is still intact.

PBAT has done very well to attract international investors and all arms of government must make the nation an investment friendly hub . Nigeria has all it takes to compete with other emerging economies considering Labour cost amd market size

At this juncture, Mr President and those in government yet should stop the blame- game. All hands must be on deck, be pro-active and serve with a clear-cut set agenda on policies to tackle the dwindling economic situation for a gain in immediate, short and long-term for the betterment of all.

Nigerians must all be in sober mood and be prayerful. Celebration of our Independence must be enjoyed as it reminds us of our chequered history past, determine our present and hope for the future.

I use this medium to congratulate Nigerians in all walks of life a very happy Independence Day celebration.

Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
