TASUED, Ogun State - Comrade Taiwo Samson Alaga, a leading aspirant for the post of Deputy Coordinator of the National Association of Nigerian Students, is calling for calmness in Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) following recent communal crisis.
Alaga expressed his deep concern over the unfortunate incident which led to the loss of a Tasued student's life and the destruction of properties. He sympathizes with the families of the victims and urges all parties involved to avoid any further violence.
In his statement, Alaga emphasized the need for peaceful coexistence among all members of the TASUED community. He called on students, staff, and other stakeholders to embrace dialogue and seek peaceful resolution of any grievances.
"Violence only begets more violence, and we cannot afford to lose any more lives or properties. We must come together as a community to find a lasting solution to the issues that have led to this unfortunate incident," Alaga said.
He also called on the authorities to take proactive measures to ensure the safety and security of all students and staff on campus. "We must work together to create a safe and conducive learning environment for all students," Alaga added.
Comrade Taiwo Samson Alaga called on all students to remain calm and law-abiding, and to shun any form of violence or destruction of properties. He urged them to channel their grievances through peaceful means and dialogue.
"We must remember that we are all brothers and sisters, and we must work together to build a better future for ourselves and our communities. Let us embrace peace and unity, and work together towards a brighter tomorrow," Alaga concluded.
