Adamawa elects first female governor, Aisha Dairu Ahmed on International Mother's Day

The governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed has defeated the incumbent governor of Adamawa state, Ahmed Umaru Finitri in a narrow escape to clinch the governor of the state.

Dahiru Ahmed won with 409,909 votes while Finitri had 406,617.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed as the governor-elect in Adamawa state.
