D.S.Adegbenro ICT Poly Alumni Association President, Oyewole Moses assures members of collaboration with Ogun state government to boost welfarism of students, infrastructural development of the institution

 

......As newly elected executive gets inaugurated 



The global President of Old students association of  D.S.Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic, Itori-Ewekoro, Oyewole Moses has assured members that his government will collaborate with Ogun state government to bring transformation to the institution in the area of welfare development, infrastructure development and approval of new courses to the institution. 

He said this during the inauguration ceremony for the newly elected executives, which are;  Oyewole Moses President, Olorunnisola onayemi ebunoluwa- general secretary, Ilufoye shakirat - treasurer, Jibade Abiola- Financial Secretary today 26th of January, 2023. 

According to Oyewole Moses, the basic responsibility of an alumni association is to foster unity among old students and harness resources both within and outside the Association to develop their alma mata. The task of this administration is to build a strong  and solid foundation.







"With God on our side and commitment of all, it is assured that this administration shall achieve more for both the Association and our Alma Mata. Some of immediate tasks we intend to focus on are:

1. To revamp the administrative structure of the Association.

2. To put in place information and communication system for the Association.

3. Regular Virtual Meeting: For regular updates and effective collaborations.

4. Launching of Alumni newsletter, a quarterly magazine that highlights notable activities of the association and its alumni.

5. Enhanced mentorship, sponsorship and scholarship programme for undergraduate students.

6. To open up the Association for greater inclusion in decision making process in the Polytechnic.

7. To partner with the Institution in creating enabling environment for rendering more efficient service delivery to Alumni members and students and

8. To enhance socio-economic interaction among members of the Association through a well coordinated central information system. 

All these and many more can only be achieved in an atmosphere of synergy. I, therefore, call on all members within and outside the country, to join hands with us in actualizing these lofty projects." He said 

Also, he said his government will collaborate strongly with the state government for urgent intervention and to network closely with individuals in the corporate world and donor organizations for assistance. "What is obvious to us is that, if we are going to comfortably achieve and maintain our agendas, we must begin to think strategically about a sort of self-sustaining initiative. We must begin to think and act now!" He added.

He assured all members of the association of his readiness to work tirelessly in taking the association to greater heights, while he said his administration is opened to constructive criticisms and advice on all matters.
