President Muhammadu Buhari has restated his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of police and military personnel.
Buhari spoke on Thursday in Abuja as he received the 2021 audited report and 2023 budget proposal of the Police Service Commission (PSC).
The Nigerian leader noted that his administration made the welfare of police officers a priority, and reforms a sacred duty.
Buhari said when operatives are posted on duty or assignments and they know their families live well, morale would be high.
“I am pretty aware of the problems and challenges confronting the Nigeria Police Force and the Armed Forces.
“The problem is relative to time and resources and this administration has done a lot with the limitations”, he said.
The President complained about the fall in crude oil price as well as local production.
Buhari however assured that the government would continue to do his best despite the drop in revenue.
