Nigerians have been advised to save themselves from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in the next general elections as living condition in the country continued to get worse.
Popular Egba Chief and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP House of Representatives hopeful of representing Abeokuta South Federal Constituency in National Assembly, Chief Toyin Amuzu gave the advice while donating another borehole water facility to the Elite road community in Idi Aba area of Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Chief Amuzu who lamented the prevailing economic doldrums, insecurity and other challenges facing the nation said, "it is quite clear that the ruling party has no solution to the myriad of problems confronting the Nation as it has overwhelmed them".
He added that, "the high cost of living especially as it concerns staple foods is quite worrisome and getting unbearable as people now find it hard to make ends meet.
"It was quite unfortunate that despite their dismal performance they have not seen any reason to ameliorate or cushion the effects of their failures, by supporting the suffering masses, even as prices of various goods continue to soar."
He advised the people to note their friends and enemies, saying "we in the PDP are committed to a better society where the overall wellbeing of our people and the development of our communities are top priorities."
According to him, the PDP is not bothered by antics of the ruling APC to cling to power despite poor performance.
"We are not deterred by their shenanigans to cling to power by disrupting our political party with fifth columnists, this water project is just another selfless support to help our people reduce their sufferings in their search for portable water".
"No doubt, the PDP has great experience in governance and we have learnt our lessons. But today, they have destroyed our economy and a whole lot. Realities on ground have proved that governance is not a child's play and the PDP really tried in it's tenure, despite all their concocted lies, vile propaganda and deceits," Chief Amuzu said.
The House of Representatives hopeful enjoined Nigerians to openly reject APC in the 2023 elections if they want a vibrant change that would move them from hardship.
The House of Assembly hopeful vying to represent Abeokuta South State Constituency 2, Hon. Idowu Owonifuja assured that the PDP would continue to put the interest of the people above every other thing.
He assured of more people oriented projects, policies and development from the PDP.
The borehole water project was later commissioned for use and handed over to the Elite Road community Development Association, CDA, by the PDP gubernatorial hopeful Chief Ladi Adebutu who was represented by Alhaji Isiaka Amodemaja in company of Alhaji Semiu Sodipo and Hon Ismaila Odejinmi among other dignitaries.
