Mr Johnson Samuel Olubode, a businessman in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, says reports in the press that he allegedly accused Adron Homes Limited of threatening his life and property has rendered his apologies over his defamation statement on the company.
He said his allegations were directed at land grabbers and not Adron Homes as erroneously reported in the media.
Mr Olubode stated this in a statement on Tuesday in Ibadan and made available to newsmen.
His statement read:
“I wish to notify my friends and other members of the general public that the publication on some online platforms suggesting that there was an alleged threats to my life by Messrs Adron Homes & properties Ltd is hereby renounced and retracted.
“I, as a matter of urgency, want to apologize for any damage caused to the reputation of the company by reason of the said publications, which was quoted out of context.
“Equally, I wish to put it on record that my interview with members of the press were targeted and directed at grabbers that have been threatening me over my properties. But the level of my anger made members of the press to quote me out of context which is deeply regretted. Thanks,” the statement read.
